Well, George finally got the monkey off his back and won a big one after a long drought. He was supported by an incredible team, Stijn Devolder was great. Check out the results at cyclingnews.

Also watched the whole thing on cycling.tv which was great.

    ???
Not sure if I would describe KBK as a big one!

As said on cycling.tv, Quick Step and Discovery kits are annoyingly similar. Especially on a tiny screen.

Just rewatched. Man, Devolder should get the win just for the sheer number of attacks put in. What a great race for him in his home country.

It's a good one but not exactly a big one. Paris-Nice is a big one, Amstel, Paris Roubaix etc. Although it is awesome to see George winning this early in the season.

    It's a 1.1 where Het Volk is a 1.HC
Last year KBK was a 1.2 and OHV was a 1.1
Most of the continental races moved up a category this year because of the ProTour.

Definitely not a "big one" but it was a big win.

KBK is still a semi-classic...I am sure George would have preferred a win on Saturday. With that said, I think it's more important for George and Discovery (or any team) to get the first win out of the way.
