Well, my little cousin has just turned 4 years old. Last year she got a bike from her mum with rubber/foam wheels (they're defintely not air-filled) and some basics, but it really is just a kid's bike. I'm not quite sure whether it's time for a new one? She is getting quite tall and big for her bike, and kids seem to outgrow everything that fitted just a year ago...
Anyway, would you guys recommend waiting just another few years? By then, she'll probabbly be ready for a 'real' bike, i.e one with proper brakes, pnuematic wheels and a good chain and so on.
I've noticed her bike is getting kind of rusty but otherwise it's still in good shape and might just hold for at least another nine months.
