Hmmm. Tripod or The Pod

Dammit, man take them all!

You might need the tripod to fight off Geoff Berrow's raging wolf hound! 🙂

I've asked for a pod for xmas, but my photographic skills are too appalling
to offer much in the way of real advice. It looks like the kind of thing you
can just chuck in a small rucksac though.

Take 'em all with you! Seriously, each one can have different uses. If
you particularly want to take some blurred water shots, or you
anticipate photographing a sunset, the definitely take the tripod, but
if those don't apply and you really want to travel light, leave it at
home, but don't blame me if you can't find anywhere suitable to put the
pod or bendy tripod.

Are there any rocks, walls, fence posts, tree stumps etc. where you're
going? If you may not need the tripod. Beanbags and diddy tripods are
great, but only if you have something to put them on.

In the end I left the tripod in the car. Was very misty up Meikle Bin, so
not much photography. However I did use the beanbag tripod thing perched
on the wall of Carron Valley Reservoir and I think I've taken enough
pictures to make a nice panorama!
