  1. hmmm, this post got lost in the system - appeared on deja news but not on my
uk "major player" server, - heads up please.

    Hi,
I have an old bike (40 yrs) which used to have a cups bottom bracket but
now has a sealed unit. I'm going to fit the tiagra tripple hollowtech 2
chainset and bearings and don't know if I really need to get the BB shell
faced. Surely the cup type bottom brackets would have required carefully
faced BB shells ? Is it worth just trying to fit the bearings and chainset
or should I take it to the shop when I take sealed unit out ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bruce.
