Arthritis & Rheumatism compiled by Accem Scott, ND

In Chinese Medicine Arthritis & Rheumatism are called Bi
conditions or syndromes Most joint related conditions even
injury related can be grouped into the category of Bi
syndromes. A good way to visualize what all Bi conditions
have in common is to think of the joints as bridges. Qi or
energy, blood and lymph fluid cross these bridges to move
from one part of the body to another. There are many ways
that a bridge can be "down". Chronic arthritis, acute
injury, or rheumatism during damp & cold weather. Regardless
of what it is, anything that blocks the flow of blood, lymph
& Qi through the joints leads to a Bi condition ( painful
swollen aching joints. ) Pain can also extend into the
muscles and vertebrae, but the classic location is in the
joints. Simple exercises such as Banging the Bones or
Circling the joints should accompany any program of self-
care or treatment.

The five main ways that Qi and Blood effect the muscles and
joints are:

Wind Cold Damp Bi - from damp weather Blood stagnation Bi -
from injury or surgery Deficiency Bi - long time Bi
conditions Cold Bi - from cold weather Heat Bi - from
chronic heat conditions from a variety of sources, but
mostly from complications of the above Bi conditions. Other
Bi conditions can mutate into this condition if left
untreated.

When you are dealing with a Bi condition the Chinese have a
great place to start , with Chinese herbal formulas. These
age old formulas are called patent medicines. Here is a
list of the primary patent medicines for each type of Bi
condition.

in treating many cases of Bi syndrome. ( ask about my
miracle bone break formula ).
