Since most my rides are commutes the layer closest to the skin always goes into dirty laundry basket as it's seen two uses when I get back.
If it's soaked, it gets artistically draped over the edge of the basket instead of thrown inside.
Jacket, hi-viz vest etc goes onto a coatrack until ready for washing.
One wardrobe in the hall pretty much holds all my outdoorsy clothing apart from the heavy-duty insulated winter stuff. Maybe two shelves that are bike specific.
The walk-in closet holds my big generic tool box - slightly larger than the maximum allowable size for carry on luggage.
The bicycle specific tools currently in an old computer bag.
Spare parts and unused accessories in old shoe boxes. One box for lights and batteries, one for electrically heated soles. One for tubes, pumps, inflators, tire levers etc.
Then there's backup storage at my parents attic. A couple of big boxes of bars, forks, cranks etc etc.
