How long?? hello mods?? new member

Hey mods, I was wondering how long one has to wait for the email to confirm membership for new members.

I told a buddy about this place, yes an actual cyclist who really rides his bike. Cool guy, no drama, not sure why he is interested in this place.

But he posts ride reports, videos etc.

He signed up but waiting for the email to confirm his membership.

So how long is the wait for new members?

I can remember stuff from 60 years ago but can't remember stuff from last month. So I don't remember how long it was before I got my email. I thought we got an email to click on to prove our email address was genuine before we could post.

I noticed the website was down for several hours, yesterday, so I don't know if that would have affected the email notification.
