Don't you know, it's not the size that counts....
At least, that's what I keep telling myself as I'm pumping.

4 pair winter pants, but 2 aren't padded
    3 bibs
    4 or 5 shorts
    0 knickers, not sure why.

More than I need, for sure. But I hate to do laundry, and this lets me ride a lot of miles between loads.

Plus, I'm old, and don't need to worry about outgrowing anything.

I have heard this before but I think that this is not an accurate statement. I own an Assos Mille Bib and several Pearl microsensor 3D shorts. The Bib is definitely warmer and thus I use it in the cooler months. The bib in principle maintains an upward traction of the shorts against your body to force the shorts to fit snuggly. However, I can pull the Pearl shorts up intially and achieve similar results. I never have a problem with the waistband. I am not sure what air channel you have but my bib does not result in more air flow down yonder.

I always suspected Nashbar and Performance were owned by the same people, since their sites, inventory, and sales are so similar...

I'm just a stockholder so I don't have much say in policy. The best that I can get from them is that they choose not to deal internationally due to shipping concerns and the volatlity rates of exchange of currencies. The last is a bit of crap though, because they deal in Canada.

Performance just copied Nashbar's business model (and probably vice versa)! Definitely different companies.

And yet their service still sucks...

Methinks the same people still run it regardless of who owns the company. :(

That is likely the case. Still, I find that no surprise since I've always considered Performance customer service to be sub-standard, at best.
