Two roadbikes. One for rainy days and winter training. One for races and sunshine.
    One hardtail mtb for "fun"
One crappy (so noone will want to steal it) singlespeed for errands.

One road, one mountain (for winter) and a recumbent for commuting and long distance. A single speed with a flip flop for fixed gear fun and just tooling around. Building a tandem next!

    Two bikes at the moment:
    1) Bianchi road - Boron steel w/ carbon fork, Record drive, brakes, Neutron wheels.
    2) Dean Ti MTN - w/ SID race, Race Face, Sram 9.0 drive train, XTR hubs and brakes.

    Future wish list:
    3) Custom Ti Road frame - Serotta, Independent Fabrication, or Moots (I can't decide)
    4) Single speed MTN (or maybe Track bike)

Just too many choices and not enough $$$.

The bare minimum in my opinion:

    2001 Trek 9.8- racing MTB
2001 Specialized S-Works FSR- Play MTB
2002 Trek 5900- Road racing bike
2003 Trek 5200- Road training bike

i worked out it was cheaper in the long run to buy the 5200 than keep knackering Dura-Ace groupsets and Conti Supersonic tyres by training on the 5900, wonderful logic!

Let's see, in my fantasies I think I have six: a tricked out AL track, a TI racer, a steel fixie for commuting, a BMX for saturday afternoons, a dual suspension MTN, a comfy composite touring, and hell, forget just six: 9 or 10 more just for the heck of it.

    Ahh, reality:

1 2003 bianchi pista fixed gear set up for commuting and city riding

1 2003 giant tcr 1 for long rides.

    Ask again after a promotion.

    Three for me...

2002 Trek 7300 Hybrid - Kinda slow for road riding, but works great for riding with the family.

2003 Trek 1000 - Used it last year for my first year of road riding.

2003 Trek 5500 P1 Cloud Nine - Bought it at the end of last season. Can't wait to get out on it. :D :D :D :D
