Many riders ride 30,000+km per year. Do you think they all replace their bike every 9 months? No they don't.

Bikes last as long as they stay intact. You only need to replace/upgrade when they get worn or get damaged ie. Many many years for most bikes.

You just keep replacing the bits as they wear out until you get bitten by the upgrade bug.

people who do 30,000km/y probably get paid, have free bikes, and multiple bikes.

just checking to see how many, dont ask a bike shop or they would just say ohh yes you need to replace getting more $$$

I know some cyclopats that ride bikes (commuting) from the 70:s? The key is endless love towards the bike, taking care of quality makes it... Immortal?! :D
