How many of us are there?

I read this every day or two. I have not been posting since I am into skiing now, however I did go
benting several times the last two weeks of the year. You know the usual boring shorts and short
sleeve stuff that southern Californians do during the winter. Just blue skies and light on shore
breezes. Yawn.

Back to waxing the skis and eloquent.

It's a start. But PLEASE don't ask them to respond in the group!! Responding to some private email
address would create much less noise in here.

But would that apply to an essentially social newsgroup as it does to a technical one, say? I often
scan Linux newsgroups for answers, and never post there, but if I'm reading this NG it'll be with a
view to joining in. I wouldn't lurk in a social NG other than to get the lie of the land and see if
I want to play. Maybe that's just me.

If Usenet flamewars compare to a good TV show, I'm very glad we don't get Finnish TV :)

Can I get UK channels on a satellite?

Btw (read: offtopic), I heard there's occasionally HPV events on Eurosport.

Somebody should start an Internet radio for HPV events. Live feed from BM would be thrilling! ^_^
