How much VO2max and LT training and when?

    Hi all
    I know this is a general question and the answer varies on fitness etc.

    Is some form of VO2 and/or threshold training desirable all year round? For a rider who has a weekly average of volume of 10 hours, how would the structure for this type of training vary during the year?

    what helped me the most is keeping the weekly hours
    (same as you 10) at an 80/20% easy hard ratio with anything near,at or above "threshold" being hard and the
    easy being endurance (which isn't that easy when done correctly) or recovery. i stay away from vo2 in the winter
    and let hard group rides in the summer take care of it
    on occasion before a rest week i will stretch it to 70/30%.
    this has been a real revelation to my body.

    Could you please define endurance work?
