Does anyone have any experience with how secure the Thule Super G bicycle rack mount is relatively speaking? My concern relates to security in terms of theft deterrence?
My understanding is that a steel cable is used to lock the bike to the rack, not a clamp like with Big Mouth or with fork mount (tray). Assuming that a theif does not have a cable cuttter, is it otherwise relatively secure from theft? How does it compare to clamp like with Big Mouth or with fork mount.
I currently have a traditional tray, with which i have to remove the front wheel and the front fork attaches to the tray. I want a new THULE bike carrier and i don't think i want the big mouth. While it would be fine with my current mtn and road bikes, i want something future-proof in hopes that i'll go from a no suspension mtn bike to a full suspension bike.
All comments are appreciated! THANKS!
