  1. Just received the first shipment that included a set of the Pitlock Solid Axle Nuts, and I was surprised at just how massive they are in diameter. They're fine on rear dropouts, but when I went to test one on my Marzocchi up front, I found that it didn't fit. There wasn't enough room between the bottom of the fork leg body and the center of the dropout.

    Out of curiosity, does anyone have a fork (road or mountain) that would even accept a nut with a 1 3/16" diameter base? If not, maybe they are only intended for rear wheels? See photos:
