  1. .... because now I have seen everything. Yesterday I was induced to peer out my
    front window by the sound of two male voices and sporadic loud laughter, the
    cacaphony moving up the hill toward my house faster than pedestrians could.
    Must be fellow cyclists; let's just grab a peek at the "loud" spandex and -
    better! - their bikes.

    I stood in stunned silence while two white-haired men attired in ratty nylon
    "volunteer fire department" jackets, jeans, and "seed caps" whirred past on twin
    Segways. Not the urban-type Segway I'd seen on TV, with small hard tires, but
    with BIG, fat, knobby tires that could have done service on an ATV.

    I've seen it all; you can take me now, God.

    It sure does! The wheels, at least. Don't remember the tubular guards.
    Mebbe when my knees give out I'll spring for a Segway Offroad. Not.
