a ride today on my homebent, with some hilly stuff [this beast held
the low gears on several occasions, I can tell you], 111 miles, 7hr
11mins in the seat, avg 15.4mph and max speed 46.1mph, which for me
was not too bad. Chesham to Banbury and back, 'all' through he lanes.
That's about my limit for a day out I think.
One slightly amusing occurance - met a short, stocky lad delivering
the Sunday papers around 8.00am when I was looking at the map.
With a very serious expression on his face, he cautiously asked me if
I was 'disabled'? I just smiled and said 'no'.
Traffic appeared to be a bit thin on the ground, which was slightly
odd.
And now I am thoroughly knackered.
And tonight I'm off the the boozer.
Not much else to be said, just had to say it, that's all.
