Now there's an idea!

Yes! I think the building was being used for something else, but they've been trying to turn it back
into a theater/playhouse. Probably have already. The real bummer is that All-Star Lanes was to be
demolished last year, to build a Public Storage place. Yuck! Other than that, the neighborhood is
having quite a renaissance.

Glad to hear that. There are some really neat old houses around there.

One of these days I'm gonna make a trip back and bring a bicycle and re-live a lot of my
childhood memories.

Is All Star lanes the one by Eagle Rock Park, on Colorado and Figueroa? Can't quite remember.

When I was a kid, there was a sign painted on the back of the Eagle Theater, "Talkies 10 cents,
Silent 5 cents." That building is quite old. I'd hate to see them tear it down.

Right, across from the theater.

The preservationists are well at work!
