Welcome to a new year!
Once again this year the Human Powered Transportation Association (HPTA) will be hosting the Second
Consecutive Annual Ice Bike Competition.
Last year's event was so successful we had to do it again! We had recumbent cycles whizzing
around the ice in three categories of events, the Elimination Pursuit, the In & Out Slalom, and
the Lap Races.
The winners collected their prizes of frozen foods or used polished and painted skates. This year we
will have competitors from across Southern Ontario and the USA. We will have a very special guest
open the ceremonies at this year's event, Dave Levac the Ontario Liberal Whip.
So come out and join in the fun-what are you waiting for?
The Human Powered Transportation Association (HPTA) is a not-for-profit organization comprised of
homebuilders and bike enthusiasts interested in social events and improvements in education,
environment, and the community.
