  1. whilst in france on a holiday i was fortunate to meet a former professional cyclist and he told me the best training he did was 5 minutes hard almost sprint speed and then 2 minutes recovery and then repeat until you have done your chosen distance it helps a lot with speed and stamina please comment with your opinions on this

    This session would develop VO2 max and LT, however different training sessions may provide a better training stimulous for these!

    Work on your own weakness, what works for one may not work for another (or even the same person at a different time).
