Not on an irregular basis, as far as I know. Doctors
sometimes prescribe it for extended use in individuals who
have a lot of trouble with diarrhea as a consequence of
other diseases or conditions.

Still, it's best not to use it unless you really need it,
and it's a particularly good idea not to use it continuously
if not required. Ask your doctor about the options in your
specific case.
