An acquaintance of mine mentioned that he immediately becomes nauseated and experiences hot flashes
with minutes of lying supine. What might the possible causes of this be? Apparently it has been
going on for some time. Could it be neurological? Vestibular disturbances? What would cause it?

Lots of detail isn't here. Further, seems to me, "instant" and "within minutes" are mutually
exclusive. Nothing is said about how old the person is, no possibly relevant history is mentioned,
I'd be interested to know if similar symptoms appear upon rising from horizontal to vertical. It
might be a good idea, if this is a serious inquiry, to start again from zero with plain language
description of what happens under what conditions to a described specific person, etc.
"Vertigo," however, comes to mind.
