I agree - they aren't quite as good as glued patches for a long-term fix, but they do fine on any
wheel that stays pretty pumped up all the time (if you let a glueless patched tube deflate, it seems
to wrinkle the patch which then thanks you by leaking profusely).

Well, that IS one of the reasons...

Plus they're a lot quicker to put on (a good thing when riding in Arizona summer heat) and are a lot
easier to stick on a tube in the rain (NOT a big problem riding in Arizona).
