Yep, stoopid design is just that. I wonder if it will be more robust(emphasis on the 'bust'😉 that the BB shell I tore completely out of a Scott frame, by tightening the BB cup..

Who buys his stuff? Is this like Dodge putting out Vipers and losing money just so they can have something outrageously sporty and expensive in the showroom - thereby giving buyers of the rest of the line a piece of ego and a good feeling about the other overly inflated, but still way high, price they are paying for the regular stuff?

Yup, thought of you Peter when I saw that design. Also, somewhat ironic that they are putting the outboard bearings in, effectively mimicking the older generations, but going OS. Isn't that what some companies, like Pinarello, were proposing to do- increasing the BB shell to get OS axle and bearings?

Trying but Euro frame builders don't have the market horsepower they used to. Most of these propriatary BBs came with inserts for more conventional BBs..unique to a frame is just plain dumb, as seen by Fisher, Merlin, others. As long as frames have components from other makers, the frame MUST be applicable to all gruppos.
