Hello. I'm in need of an integrated headset for my Somec frame. I don't however know which type. So here:

As far as the sizes go (may not be EXACT):

horizontal length of headset-7,1/4in
lateral length of headset opening (outside -outside)-1,3/4
lateral length of headset opening (inside-inside)-1,5/8in
lateral length of inner opening-1,3/8in
fork steerer-1,1/8in

Additionally, which brand should I go with? Thanks a bunch.

The steerer is 11/8" so you need a 11/8" HS .It's an integrated or internal type,so there are several possibilities. Ask the frame maker.

Hi puma,

I discovered your question googeling for "somec". Too bad you already deleted the pics of your Somec.
As headset, you need a Campy "Hiddenset" or a compatible model, e.g. by FSA or Ritchey. The Cane Creek-standard hiddensets won't fit.

Don't buy a headset which is Cane Creek compatible. It won't fit.
I hope i could help.

Actually Cane Creek does now manufacture the "i" series (IS-8i, IS-2i) see:

which are Campy compatible. As always, however, with integrated designs actual headtube milling should be double-checked.
