Interesting similarities between Alberto Contador & Lance Armstrong:

Medical:

1). LA: stricken with cancer in 1996, survived brain surgery, subsequently recovered and return to cycling in 1998.

2). AC: stricken with a brain aneurysm in 2004, survived brain surgery, subsequently recovered and returned to cycling in 2005.

Teams:

1). LA: USPS, Team Discovery, Astana;

2). AC: Team Discovery, Astana.

Grand Tour victories:

1). LA: 7 total Grand Tours: 7 Tour de France victories. 1st Grand Tour victory at age 28.

2). AC: 4 total Grand Tours: 1 Vuelta de Espana, 1 Giro de Italia, 2 Tour de France victories; 1st Grand Tour victory at age 25.

Drug Controversy:

1). LA: ’99 samples allegedly found to contain EPO; positive test for corticosteroid in ’99 but was cleared by UCI by providing Therapeutic Use Exemption; worked with controversial trainer Michelle Ferrari; criticized by Greg Lemond for possible drug use given his high VO2 Max; subject of extensive investigative articles by Le Monde; maintained his innocence throughout his career.

2). AC: implicated in Operation Puerto but eventually cleared by UCI; criticized by Greg Lemond for possible drug use given his high VO2 Max; subject of extensive investigative articles by Le Monde; maintained his innocence throughout his career.

and one other thing......just like Jan Ulrich was LA's main nemisis who pushed LA to several Tour wins, perhaps LA will become AC's main nemisis who will push AC to several more Tour wins.

I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles. If one believes in the miracle of LA, one must also believe in the miracle of AC, right ?
