By adopting a regular exercise program in combination with medication, I have brought my BP down from 150/90 where it was a couple years ago. My systolic is now around 120-125 (just at or a bit above "ideal"😉, and my diastolic is now around 65-70 (considerably better than "ideal"😉. The difference between the two numbers in my case is greater than the difference between the "ideal" numbers.
Can anyone give me a simple interpretation of my results? For example, is it better for most people to have a relatively low systolic or diastolic pressure? Should I shoot for lower systolic pressure (more exercise?) than what I currently have? Does the greater than average difference between systolic and diastolic pressures imply good blood vessel elasticity?

Lower systolic.

The lower the better.
