    This should have been a trip report..

    Arrived at Inverar, parked and got into our walking gear. The
    noticeboard caught our attention and it became immediately obvious we
    werent going anywhere as they were off shooting deer.

    Looking back through this group I see a few references to them not been
    desperately welcoming to walkers but this was back in 2002. Not seen
    this mentioned anywhere else. Seems like their stalking season ends but
    then continues whilst they bag a few hinds?

    Pulled out the map and decided on Meall Buidhe instead which proved to
    be a short walk to great views of the highlands. Used it as an
    opportunity to try out my new scarpa mantas (no snow though).

    It was interesting to see that the noticeboard put up by the landowners
    here was much friendlier.

    Anyway, photos to follow from the walk of a perfect cloudfree view.

    These notices should not be there under the new access legislation. The
    estate has no right to try and restrict access. All they should do is
    state exactly where they are shooting and request that walkers avoid
    that area (such as a specific corrie - not a whole hill area). You are
    perfectly within your rights to ignore such notices. I do.

    No, they just don't want anybody on the land.
