Does anyone have any experience with mounting an iPhone to a road stem? I've been looking around for a while and there seems to be a wide range in quality.. I'm looking for something solid, waterproof and at least somewhat low-profile.. Has anyone tried these before?

Duct tape! seriously...my friend mounted his droid to the bottom tube of his santa cruz v10, and it works like a charm.

Most people don't want to ruin the appearance of their expensive iPhone or whatever smart phone buy wrapping it in duct tape, and in the heat, leaving duct tape residue all over it. Moreover, duct taping a smartphone to a tube on the bike doesn't support the phone properly and concentrates impact loads over a much smaller area than a proper mount. Just because someone gets away with doing something doesn't make that something a good idea. There are loads of proper iPhone mounts for bikes, one of which was just reviewed at BikeRumor.com.

Check out lifeproof. They make a case you can submerge and has a solid bike mount. Lower profile than the otterbox. ExChef Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
