Isn't AAC MP4?

Digital Rights Management sucks. It's all about limiting our
choice as a consumer and trying to maximise the profits of
the music industry. Who do they think we are? Criminals or
children? It's not up to them to enforce copyright law. For
now I will continue to buy the CDs I like and make my own
MP3/OGG/FLAC/whatever files to play in whatever device I
like. If my hard drive dies, I have the original CD to
recreate the digital file again. I can transfer those files
to whatever computer I'm using with no hassle. I have no
worries about reinstalling the OS (which I do several times
a year due to my job) and losing access to my music.
Strewth: why do people buy in to this con?

The Apple Music Store would not exist without DRM. I'm a
musician BTW... you'll have a hard time convincing me that
artists do not have a right to have their work protected :)
But this is another discussion for another newsgroup. Oh...
and in answer to your question... criminals and/or
children... but mostly just criminals.

The answer to the question was 100% accurate. I just didn't
think it would add to the clarity of the question to list
every feature of the program.

Zgirl didn't seem to have any burning desire to purchase
anymore 'tunes, just to be able to use what she had on an
iPod. In fact your addition wasn't 100% accurate either
since iTunes will allow you to listen to those mp3 on you
computer, burn CD's (on a mac, not sure about Windows); set
tags, equalization, time between tracks, ect.; and watch
pretty little hippie-like graphics while listening to all
those 'tunes AND a whole bunch more.

Happy now?
