  1. Irish Soda Bread

    2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 lb. raisins 1 cup sugar 1cup buttermilk or sour 1 cup regular milk with 2 caps
    of lemon juice
    1/4 lb. butter 2 eggs lightly beaten
    2/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/2 tsp salt

    Sift flour sugar,soda, & salt in a mixing bowl. Rub in butter & raisins. Add milk and eggs and mix
    thoroughly Place in a 9" springform pan that has been buttered and dusted with flour. Bake @ 350
    deg. for one hour. I have made this soda bread for 30 years. The recipe came from an old Irish
    Butcher who I worked with. It was his Mothers recipe passed down in the family. Enjoy Bob
