So, I'm 25, 6'2" 290 guy, Max HR 185, and i've been losing weight I gained during college, (30 pounds in the last few months).

Anyway, I've been cycling about 10-15 miles @ avg. 15mph about 6 days a week and I am on average working out at an average heart rate of 80-86% with max @ 94% on my rides. Should I back off a bit and shoot for below 80% ? or am I good to keep pushing hard every day? I don't want to be damaging my heart long term or anything. Maybe 80%+ twice a week and <80% the rest?

a workout:

Should consult your doctor before starting any relatively intense exercise regimen.
For a fit person, your workout schedule is not an issue.
Appears you're getting fitter, but I wouldn't consider you a "fit" cyclist. Ergo, I strongly urge you to consult your doctor about your concerns...
Good to hear you're highly motivated to improve your physical condition. Never too late to start...
