Hello,

I am new to the forums and to cycling. I have been running the past 10 plus years, (7 marathons, 5 30k's, several half marathons etc) so I am no stranger to the concept of planned, and controlled training.

In the marathon world the "bible" so to speak is "Advanced Marathoning by Pfitzinger", with honourable mention to Daniels and Lydiard.

Is there a "go to" book for cycling? I have done searches on this forum, but cannot seem to find anything.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

As for my goals, this is my first full year of cycling, I am planning on doing a Century GranFondo event in September, and a few shorter events before then.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to the forums.

Fantastic, exactly what i was looking for, and in this modern age, it is even at a bookstore near me.

Thank you .
