Is this a good deal for a six13?

I have never ridden on the road before. Always been a mountain bike person. Wanted to start getting on the road when the trails are muddy. Is this a good deal? I don't have to have the best bike but would like one that isn't too expensive in case I don't really enjoy it but would like a decent bike if I do. It's a 2008 cannondale six13 with tiagra components for 600. What do you think? Keep looking for better deal? for 600 its not too bad, but the price is now 750 ?
