Is this going to do my body/heart any damage?

MountainGoat: Don't try to be my friend now. Just kidding. For only being into cycling for about 6 months, I think my bike is fine. It only cost $578, so I don't feel guilty for not riding every day. With the little knowledge that I do have, I don't see any problems with the 1000. For what I use it for(which is riding about 100 miles a week), it's perfect for me. Knowing what I know now, I would buy the bike again. With not spending too much initially, it gives me an excuse to upgrade some parts (I have a very comfy bananna seat, a nice horn, and some reflectors) and buy different stuff for it and myself....although I don't knock anybody for buying a $3000+ bike either, as it would be fun to have those bragging rights and to be the envy of other cyclists.
