Hello,
I have taken the ITM ALU CARBON seatpost away from my new bike. I am going to install the new Deda Black Stick. Reason? The ITM seatpost only has a very thin carbon layer. If you would ask me, it's a full aluminium seatpost with a sticker on top with a carbon look (just like the ones in order to protect the chainstay). When I asked the shop, they admitted it was just a carbon coating. They (ITM) call it carbon...
I wonder what this is like with the ITM Millennium carbon seatpost which also has an auminium core? Is it also just a very thin layer of carbon?
What a blooper for a company with the reputation of ITM! I have also taken away the handlebar (ALU CARBON), I am just keeping the ALU CARBON stem.
Regards, Frank.
