German Jaksche admits doping, confirms Fuentes link

BERLIN, June 30 (Reuters) - German Joerg Jaksche has become the first
cyclist to admit blood doping in connection with Spain's Operation
Puerto scandal.

He told German magazine Der Spiegel he had used banned substances over
a 10-year period and confirmed that from 2005 he was a client of the
Spanish doctor at the centre of the probe.

Jaksche, who was suspended by his Tinkoff team in May after being
linked with the Puerto investigation, admitted doping from 1997 while
riding for a number of different teams.

He added in an interview with Spiegel TV that going to see Eufemiano
Fuentes, the Spanish doctor at the heart of the Puerto case, was like
"going for an oil change".
