Which one is better to lose weight, running with high speed but shorter distance or running with low speed and longer distance??
Is it the matter of distance, speed, or time elapsed??

lsd..long slow distance. That is the way to go because you will develop less lactic acid and thus be able to get more work out of your body ....calories.

The REAL answer is running at about 70% of your max heart rate. Having said that, I think the simple/easy answer that you are looking for is the longer, slower run (whatever that means to you). Basically, you want to STAY aerobic and burn O2 (you should be able to just carry on a conversation when running in this zone) and fat (although fat "burns" rather slowly) rather than having your running energy burning glycogen stores in your muscles (producing lactic acid).

Hope this helps some. And for the obligatory question - fat "burns" all at once (i.e. you can't just burn your target areas that you may want to).;)
