It even damages your argument, by mentioning him, because it shows how far the repub's have gotten away from their "roots". It's a very sad commentary. I am Roman Catholic, and my church is Christian, but I certainly am not part of Bush's Born Again brigade.

And let's also be absolutely clear : Born Again or any other Reformed/Protestant Church is heretical under Roman Catholic Canon Law.
The Protestant/Reformed/Born Again/?, were ex-communicated from the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century because they decided to go their own way.

I was raised Roman Catholic, lapsed and have returned, somewhat, in order to better raise my children with faith and beliefs in things larger than themselves. But I remember clearly in Mass saying, there is only one Holy and Apostolic Church, And when I was old enough to think about it, realized it meant that all the protestants are heretics.
Don't want to get too much into the relgious aspect, but David Morrell has written some great mystery/action novels that include some really neat looks at the 'inner workings' & thoughts of Catholocism. Particularly reccomend The Totem & Fraternity of the Stone. They're not religous books - but great, fun, interesting reads.

Let's be clear here : Christianity is a very broad spectrum.
I am Roman Catholic, and my church is Christian, but I certainly am not part of Bush's Born Again brigade.

And let's also be absolutely clear : Born Again or any other Reformed/Protestant Church is heretical under Roman Catholic Canon Law.
The Protestant/Reformed/Born Again/?, were ex-communicated from the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century because they decided to go their own way.
