I'm sure OLN loved it when he said he recorded their coverage so he could skip
the commercials!!

During the election, we heard that he was secretly French.
So it's a natural choice.

Was he speaking French? I never trusted that guy. And now he's
looking for attention. You lost dude -- get over it!

He refused to speak French, then managed a couple of garbled words.
He speaks it pretty well, but was ordered to stop during the election,
and now has forgotten that those are over and done with.

It would have been more interesting for him to follow Rassmussen
in order for him to see what his errors lead to in bike racing.

My conclusion is that Armstrong has a good chance in 2024.

Wow, I just saw a Trek track bike on French TV.

Like most Demopublicans, Kerry is a Kommie at heart. Thus he hates
"crass commercialism." The French probably love him.

He's still a US Senator, and the French probably like him more than any
US pol (all he has to do is fail in 2008 and he'll hit the trifecta of
belovedness: fluent in French, a beautiful loser, and eternal second!
Pou-pou pour president!)

But seriously, I thought the funniest part was when he was asked by OLN
(Andrieu?) about Lance's chances for a political future, and he
diplomatically praised Mr. Armstrong, adding somewhat ruefully at the
end, "I just hope it's for the right party."

Mm-hm. I'm thinking more like Schwarzenegger/Armstrong 2016, running
against, oh, Granholm/Obama. If they're going to change the native-born
amendment, now might be the time....

Granholm? Hmmmm.... she hasn't even hit my radar screen yet as a
possible future presidential candidate. Something to think about.
You just might have something there, Ryan.

My hopes for a future minority presidential candidate have been
running toward Harold Ford.

Ahnold is sucking hind *** in California. His gerrymandering item got
chucked from the special ballot. But then Bush wasn't exactly the Pride
o' Texas, himself and got into the Whitehouse.

Mostly what I had was a need to juxtapose the most prominent
non-native-born Democrat pol with Arnie. She are from Canada, eh? But
today's presidential hopefuls are so often tomorrow's failed
presidential hopefuls.

It's an easy bet that if a certain Ms. Rice ever even hinted about the
possibility of considering a presidential or vice-presidential
candidacy, there would be GOPers rising en masse to carry her through
the streets on their shoulders to the convention centre.

I like Alan Keyes, myself,

him to stay in.

Why just modern times? I think he is way out in front as the worst of all
time.

FDR-1 (Hoover) and FDR-2 (FDR) were probably the worst of the past
century. Well maybe Wilson -- he was really horrible. There weren't
any above average presidents in the past century.

Warmonger Lincoln is the worst of all time. Rutherfraud Hayes always
deserves mention.

Anyone who says the government isn't good at anything is wrong. It is
really good at destruction -- look at what Lincoln accomplished in such
a short span. The unmatched destructive efficiency of government is why
it is tasked with national defense. LOL

Actually Lincoln did the best he could in dire circumstances with inept
military leaders. Grant was far better a general than a civilian
leader, effectively dropping the ball on post-war reconstruction in the
south. Lincoln knew what needed to be done to heal the nation's wounds,
but a southern patriot murdered him and doomed the south.
