You might want to speak to someone in the Cycling Club or chat with people at the various specialty bike shops for better info. Not sure what you are looking for, but here are a variety of suggestions:

The Greenway trail (start from the parking near the university. The KOA trail is somewhat interesting.)

Cranbrook Hill (There are a number of trails up that way which have been modified by cross country bikers. And of course there is the Forset for the World which is connected to the Greenway trails.)

Ottway trails (pay)

LC Gunn Park (Lots of rocks)

Wilkinson Park --gravel pit

Trails off of Piderney Road at the end of the Foothills bridge (modified by bikers)

End of Malispina

Moores Meadow

Tabour Mountain will soon open down hill racing trails for bikes (pay)

Upper mud river logging roads. Be careful of bears.

Some portions of Eskers Provincial Park.

There are more challenging and longer rides a bit out of town as well.
