I recently purchased a TREK 7500. It has an aluminum frame. I was advised against a kickstand but I personally need one. Are there any options for me?

I would not use a kickstand that clamps to any of the frame tubes. It will likely crimp and damage the frame over time.

You can use one of these though:

Pretty cool but that would get ripped off in a second. Thanks for the replies.
Believe your Trek 7500 frame should have enough wall thickness to handle a clamp-on kickstand as long as you don't overtighten it. A buddy of mine put one on his Nashbar aluminum frame. It's a bit weird, but he likes the looks he gets on fast club rides when he pulls up to the rest stops with the group and puts down the stand. The weight-wienies always seem the most surprised :)
