Oh, I'd kill to get the Designed to Sell team at my place, those guys
can fix anything! I know it would cost a fortune if you had to pay their
wages. But then ... you could look at them work. That's worth money
right there.

However, Spice Up My Kitchen is my least favorite. I hate her
designs, the forced gaity is grating and I never see how they manage
to spend $40G given their final product. Yet I watch it because I like
watching remodeling.

Obviously that's what the director wants, but it seems to be calming
down now that the hostess is getting used to being in front of a
camera and they are finding their own style of presentation.

It's no secret why their $40,000 kitchen isn't as elaborate as other
shows $40 grand kitchens. Their final product includes labor (a HUGE
factor)... that's why I like the show, it's realistic. The others are
just smoke and mirrors giving only the price of materials and
contributing costly labor.

I don't know. I did my kitchen and I know where the money
goes. Doesn't cost any more to install expensive cabinets than
cheap ones. The kitchens they do tend to be pretty small and
not much by way of cabinets. Even when they say they spend
almost 10 grand on appliances I think, are there some in the next
room? Because that looks like 5, tops.

Just me. I haven't really cared for their end results, so that
doesn't help. And I hate the part where she draws up a design
using the disgusting, should have been replaced years ago,
cabinets. Wish they'd skip that and spend the time showing
actual work.

Again, that's reality. One plan should reuse old cabinetry. In my
part of the country that's a real money saving option. Reface them
and they are like new cabinets.
