    I have a KMC X9.99 chain which came with a missing link. KMC's site
    says the X9 is a 11/132 width chain. Looking on Amazon, the 9 speed
    missing link is 1/2 by 3/32. Or 1/132 wider than the chain.

    The instructions said for one use only. So I assume after disconnecting
    the missing link, new parts should be used.

    Will the 1/2 by 3/32 work fine with my X9.99 chain? Do I really need to
    replace the missing link after I open it?
