A neophyte friend of mine is asking my opinion on KMC chains. (Specifically the X9 with the Xbridge missing link). I have to admit that I really don't know much about them having used only Shimano, Wippermann and SRAM. I had always assumed they were kind of junky, but in looking at their website (www.kmcchain.com) I don't know what to think. It looks like they also manufacture some of the Shimano HG and IG chains for them.
