  1. In November, I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus. I continue to have pain on the inside of the
knee and still can't run. Cross training is not a problem, but rowing hurts. I take cataflam daily
and this relieves the pain, but when I attempt to run, I feel no pain during the run.. but,
afterwards, pain (inside of knee) and swelling. I also ice immediately after a workout. Anyone have
    a similar experience?

Yeah, almost the same. My surgery was in the spring, and I still get pain on the inside after a run.
Was running about 1.5 miles, but stopped. I was riding my bike when it was warm, now XC sking. I'm
67 and afraid I may not be able to run any more. I'll try again in the spring.

I haven't had this problem. However, according to what I have read, the success of this surgery is
uncertain. In younger people surgery is usually recommended because it could restore function. Older
people may not benefit from surgical repair.

    What does your doctor say?
