  1. Hey all. New here. I have a daily knee-swelling & cracking problem and the cold weather up here in New England makes it worse. On my left knee, I tore my ACL and MCL while skiing. On my right knee, it never hurt enough to go to a doctor, but I'm pretty sure I tore my MCL there, too. I was supposed to have surgeory, never did, but the problem went on before I tore those ligaments. What happens is my knees seem to swell up daily and the only thing that relieves the pressure is twisting my knee to make it crack, most likely the worst thing to do, but otherwise, the swelling gets very uncomfortable. I am 24, otherwise healthy, but it happens on my hands, too and I suspect arthritis. I am not a big fan of anti-inflammatories or any unnatural drug. Does anyone know what the problem could be or does anyone know of any natural remedies that could solve or help my condition??
    Thanks all.

  2. Sounds pretty serious mate....haul yourself off to a sports medicine specialst for a professional diagnosis. Preferably one with experience treating cyclists.

YIKES! Sounds like a torn meniscus. You better go see a specialist - it isn't gonna get better by itself - only worse!

  4. I had a torn meniscus and got some swelling from it. It is a very common injury an easily fixed. Be smart and see a doc....your only 24. You have many more years you'll be needing those knees.
