In the "better late than ..." category, amid the many complaints of poor customer service posted, I
had a good experience with Crank Brothers a few years ago.
I'd had a "Speed Lever" extensible mount/dismount tool for tires for a few years, not extensively
used. When I went to install a new set of tires one cold December day, the head snapped off.
So I emailed Crank Brothers a nastygram. Received a reply requesting my name, address, etc.,
responded, and had a new "Speed Lever" a week or two later.
btw I find that I still need a set of regular tire levers. I use the Speed Lever as a place
holder while pressing the bead into place with my thumbs. Since it clips over the axle, I don't
have to hold a tire lever in place with my forehead (ptwang ..... hmm, should "shooting a tire
lever across the room" be an Olympic event?)
I told them that losing the prehensile tail was a mistake.
