Lance Armstrong Won't Fight Usada Charges

At least Campy has been good for some laughs. You're taking this stuff way too seriously.
You just don't agree with my position and I am satisfied with that!

Thank you...thank you very much!
I'll be here all weekend! Be sure and tip your waitress!

I'll take anger everyday, myself. It's fun watching folks get their blood pressure up.

I'm CampyBob and I still think Lancer is swell.
Man, some of the Lance haters are about to pop a vein!

This might help your hypertension fellas:

Now come on lance_armstrong...thats damn funny!

Someone else strongly disagrees with you and says so, repeatedly offering counter arguments to your counter arguments, and he's a troll? Why, because you disagree with what he says and he won't either agree with you or stop posting?

I have to wonder if you guys hate Lance so much because you see a little bit of yourself in him.
Or maybe a lot of themselves!

OK, it's a little bit funny. Wait though, it's kinda not, because it shows how unfocused the Livestrong charity was. Simply re-posting drug info widely available from other sources online, and not even pertaining to cancer, doesn't seem to be a great use of donations. Hope that observation doesn't put me into your camp of Lance-haters, but I do admit I've not found much to like about him or his enterprises recently.

Sadly, my own hypertension appeared long before Lance's fall from grace. To paraphrase the damned one himself....I'm on my Losartin every day, what are you on?

Please stop using the word 'hater'. It exposes your inability to defend an argument. I've noticed a common trait of people who are having a hard time defending their point of view. They get frustrated, and start referring to those who disagree with them as haters.

Hater (heyt-er) - noun

Overused word that people like to use just because someone else expresses a dislike for a certain individual.

Example:

Lance: "I don't like Charles Manson. He killed all those people, and I'm pretty sure he's crazy."

Busch: "You're just a hater!"

Hate: intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury

It's the only way to explain how extreme you guys denounce and revile everything Lance says and does (even the good things), and how you ridicule and shout down everyone who doesn't equate Lance with Satan in every post (even when that post is Lance bashing, if it's not bashing enough you're labeled an apologist). I've literally never seen a group of people do so bad on one individual in my life, including guys like Manson.

So yeah, Hate is the only word I can come up with to describe it. If you've got an alternative, I'd like to hear it.

At least three words: anger, disgust, dislike. The Manson part is funny. It also backs up the drama idea. If you've never seen people "do so bad" on one individual in your life, you really need to get out more. Perhaps that you think so many are full of hate says something about you? Have ever actually seen hate? No matter. Armstrong is reaping the rewards of what he's sewn, not only in his actions as detailed in the USADA report but also in his actions after the release of the USADA report. FYI, I increased the font size and made bold a selection of my response in order to make it more dramatic.

Or maybe I need to become a shut-in, because there is some scary **** in this forum. I can only hope you guys are not like this in real life.

If it's so scary for you, why do you continue to post in this thread or even read it?

Indeed.

I've no difficulty with, excuse the pun, the Devil's Advocate role played by some members here.
However when the evidence conclusively shows that their client cheated, the Advocates still persist.

Because I don't believe the world goes away when I close my eyes.

I think Livestrong has done some GREAT work!!! Just cause the spokesperson was unethical we dont need to fry some very dedicated people at Livestrong that believed in what they were doing.

My brother sells light bulbs for Sylvania and occasionally they have a industrial bulb explode but you cant say explode to a customer (kind of like saying bomb on a plane) so the term they use is "non passive failure"

They might like it better JPW if we use "non-passive dislike"/img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif

"lets not quibble about who killed who"

I think JPW is right and personally I dont feel we are to far off in agreeing but you guys are so driven by your anger of Lance it clouds everything else.

Question: (Your word anger) What are you angry about???

What is the Sylvania term for "take issue with"?

One step removed from the above mentioned "non-passive", even passive dislike seems too strong a term to describe my personal feelings for someone I have never met, but on whom I have confirmed details on how said individual has negatively treated others who once gave their all toward said individuals success.

I guess that is the point. I have not seen one post saying Lance did not cheat or really anyone claiming to be an advocate!

My points are the following:
 • Lance is taking the heat for most of the sport cheating. Those in cycling know the difference but the media is leaving most outside the sport thinking he was the only one cheating.
 • Rules and punishment are applied differently across the sport. That is not right! Contador is stripped for a trace of a band sub but Riis has a 64 hemo crit and gets off, What?
 • Demonizing Lance takes focus of systemic problem.
 • No life time bans no altering of history
 • UCI is a failure
 • if it was not Lance it would have been someone else, probably Ullrich who was the biggest cheat in sports history.
 • USADA did their job and are to be commended but Tygart is making this personal and has become mellow dramatic.
 • The fraud he committed in cancer was far worse than the fraud he committed in cycling.
 • There is still nothing conclusive about 2009-2010 results
 • The best thing that could happen to Lance is for him to lose everything financially
 • Bruyneel is just a much to blame
 • The DOJ and Landis are going to get pounded in court
 • Lance is guilty of most of what has been claimed but has an opportunity for redemption, it is a question of when or if he will take it.

sitting back and typing that someone's response is an over the top example of their anger is not a solid argument. in this side track to the topic, you and jpw both have pointed your fingers and said the response is an example of someone's hate, as though your conclusion was self-evident. given the persistence you both show to continue stoking the fires with your baseless and unsupported accusations (offering a dictionary definition without quoting any specific examples from someone's posts to illuminate your point?) does not make your case. all i can conclude is that you, like a supreme court justice when asked to define pornography stated "he knows it when he sees it," know hatred when you see it. how you accomplish that amazes me.

Well it is possible then we were not referring to you!

Kind of of like the guy in the stands that keeps hearing a guy yelling "hey Mike!" and finally stands up and yells back "hey my name isn't Mike"

No sure what said post refers to what said individuals in said thread though!

The anger, disgust, hatred..... is very clearly seen in the treatment of others on this thread that may appear to be giving the slightest bit of leniency to Lance in this matter even if they are in agreement with 80% of the rest.

JPW as a new member had some doubts about the 2009 and 2010. The dog piling by the mob at that time told me everything in needed to know about their impassioned hatred for Lance misdirected toward a fairly innocuous point or question and what seemed to me a pretty decent new member. I found nothing offensive about his quest for answers.

Maybe you cant see the similarities between that and Lance but I sure do!!!!

The denial, deflecting and dodging in trying exonerate yourself and others my minimizing you "bullying" and anger is no different than Lance's and failure to acknowledge that is no different than Lance's refusal to acknowledge his.

I find it overwhelmingly ironic to see the disgust by some members of Lance's behavior by bullying and the conduct they portray here!!!!

Of course you can say we dont have proof, evidence, blah blah blah but then again we are in a thread not a courtroom.

Continue to deny that what I have said took place, it is working for Lance!
