I don't believe that Armstrong can afford to make a confession.

If he did confess, it means that he has lied throughout.

He lied to his family throughout.
He lied to the cancer community throughout who's interests he claims to have as his priority.
He lied to the various agencies throughout that investigated him.
He lied throughout various legal actions.
He lied when he refused to admit his guilt to USADA as late as June 2012.

The United States of America loves their prodigal sons. When the President (e.g. Clinton) of the United States can be redeemed after bold-face lying to the public, you know LA can make a relative triumphant return to grace.

The confession is coming, Lim - and just around the corner, IMO.

Yeah, but the Monica Lewinsky thing was over in, what, less than a year? Once the semen-stained blue dress went public, Clinton burned a quick 180.

Armstrong has been denying doping and insinuating evil intentions of anyone who has been skeptical of him since 1999.

Frankly, I have no idea how Armstrong could benefit from this in the short term, even if he takes the UCI down. For once, he might be thinking altruistically about the foundation. Of course, if confessing now can help the solvency of the charity, it will benefit him farther down the road. This still begs the question, "What does Lance really want?"

Much less time (several months?) for LA since the Reasoned Decision, right? Now that the Reasoned Decision has been vetted, it's opportune time for Lance to burn a quick 180 too. No better time for him to put all this behind him and get back to doing what he enjoys doing best - making money. Can't much blame him there, and his rich, powerful friends will be there to make sure he lands on his feet. The sooner this is in his rear-view, the sooner he'll be free...

I don't believe he ever had cancer. I think that was a scheme to take a bunch of EPO and bank a ton of blood.

Well, he's staying within the month - gotta give it to him for sticking with damage control protocol.
Can you say huge enough production? Not established network television, but there will be enough guys taking over the remote from their significant others long enough to watch the OWN network - you can guarantee that.
Will he, or won't he confess? My money says he will give a little, but not all. He'll save some choice information for a later date - perhaps when he's before a grand jury or the CAS.

edit: gotta add this little nugget of info that the OWN Network is a joint venture between Harpo (Oprah spelled backwards) Prods. and Discovery Communications - yep, that Discovery, the one that sponsored Lance at one time. Funny how most every money-making venture on the earth has underlying connections...

It all depends on how the media handles it. People are led so easily and believe what they want to believe. If they spin and sugar coat it the masses will eat it up like fine cuisine. BTW Slick Willie never had redemption with me.
