Lance Competitive in Kona Tri World Championships Dave Scott doesn't thinks so!

RH,

You're not using 'the look' video are you? Wow, I guess Lance owns 'the look' now too. What a joke you LA fans are. Please be credible and look into the history of cycling before you post items showing how cunning cyclists are and how they might 'fool' each other.

'The Look' has been around long before Lance was placing 121st in races and before he met Dr. F and made a unbelieveable morphological and physiological change over a couple of years.

Maybe this 'look' video should read..."Hey Jan, did you get all the supps last night like I did (EPO, Autologous blood, Test)? What, you didn't get the blood boost...I'm otta here. I have sponsership money to earn."

Oh LA is a real trickster, he's certainly tricked you.

+1. Lance will take the 112-mile bike by 30 minutes at least. Look what he did to the Leadville field. Complete destruction of mountain bike specialists. He'll only lose a little to the favs in the swim, and perhaps 20 minutes in the run.

Pffffff - I just spat coffee on my screen!

To put 30 minutes into the top pro's Lance would need to ride a 4 hour 180km TT. That's an average of 46km/h - faster than some of the 60km TT he's done, after a 3.8km swim and before a marathon... As a side not consider that wind resistance is exponential not linear...

**** me - disengage head from Lance's bunghole and engage brain....

Sorry sorry - I apologise - I used like science dude to fully like you know blow your like theory out of the like water man.

I'll put it in language you may understand.

Your momma so fat Lance aint gonna win Kona*

*in retrospect this is horribly rude and I should apologise - it's just that blind fanboyism that sets aside logic really gets me goat.

i want proof of that teams existance and it's efforts to help him.

That Big Lance himself wouldn't show his face in Leadville without first recruiting his team is proof enough for me.

Ulrich who?

Bit of an 'off season' thread, chaps?

I don't give a rat's **** what LA can do in some irrelevant triathlon event. I'm looking forward to seeing what he (& his medical 'advisors') can achieve in the cycling season proper. My gut says Contador & the Schlecks will clean his clock but we'll have to wait & see.

irrelevent? that's pretty damn funny.

This part of the forum is about pro cycling & not triathlon - I didn't even know LA could fire a gun & ski:eek:

well, there's no 'triathlon' section but it is Big Lance Armtrong and he is all things proffesional cycling so it fits here but that isn't why i said it was pretty funny but rather about the many triathletes whom i've spent some time with recently seeing that post of yours. i've been saying that he's gonna win Kona but try even attempting to say that to those people. it makes for some serious conversation not to mention some of the most one sided attempted ass kickings you can imagine. :D

-standing ovation-

I just read a thread about a guy who read an article about Big Lance saying he could be in the top 3 or the top 5 or the top ten.

"I don't know I could be top three, top five or top 10, but anyway, I want to come and finish." ~Big Lance Armstrong.

he knows what is what and he'll shatter that bike record, swim or no swim beforehand.

RH,

Your inability to objectively show respect to other amazing, champion, cyclists of their time (and not just Jan Ullrich) tears a gapping whole in the thin veneer of competence that you attempt to portray. Sir, you clearly don't understand cycling, tactics and what actually makes up a TdF winner TEAM.

Most certainly the top 20 cyclists in the last 15 years doped. Full stop. If you fail to appreciate the unfathomable idea that winning the TdF without dope, against other dopers is humanly and statistically impossible then you are lost. Jan, Tyler, Ivan, Mancebo, Iban, Floyd... yes Lance have all doped. Lance has several + EPO samples from the '99 TdF that are not allowed into reassessment due to technicalities but they were still +. What is not translucent or fair is whether or not all doped top 20 had access to the same dope, team mates, team objectives and pre- and post- tour racing commitments. Auto Blood doping with or without Testosterone, EPO... you fill in the combinations. Optics on LA would show that he had the best dope, doping Doctors, best teams, single minded TdF plans, egocentric TdF goals and very little pre and post Tour racing. Having said that I am fair enough to say Lance is a tenacious competitor, a very good cyclist and an excellent strategist and manipulator or media and competitors psyche. All valuable qualities. To say he's clean and can beat the best TRI athletes in the world after not running or swimming for 20 yrs... do you hear yourself? Your logic is completely disingenuous!

Why I am wasting my time to state that the obvious is, well, a waste? You will see. When Lance falls like Marion Jones you will probably come up with some limp wristed explanation. Even someone bigger than LA got caught, yes even the billionaire T.Woods got caught (for different reasons of course), all cheaters do. So bask in your pseudoglory now as your day of deceit is coming to an end.

and as for your implying that Lance at one point and time may have doped, well, you may be right but i'm not going to speculate on it as it's pretty much pointless. there are points to being a proven tell tale doper as don't they usually show signs of serious malfunction afer the fact? wouldn't he have continually had to have been doping and still would be for him to be able to perform at the level that he has been merely cause it surely couldn't just be the training he's put himself through since the womb, right? I mean if Ulrich couldn't train as hard than it's just impossible that Lance Armstrong would've, right? That's your perpective isn't it? Uh oh, I'm beginning to wonder if that kind of dedication is gonna show in these 'triathletes' come Kona 2011? You think they've been training since birth as well?

and not one positive test. like i said, 58.78%. and those are not all me voting either. :( (only once i voted, today actually)

thanks but no thanks to how you wanna debate.

The funny thing is that I believe Lance can do reasonably well at Kona--a top 20, maybe even a top 10. I respect, even admire the guy's ability and resolve. It's just sycophants that bug me. RH, you're either totally nuts or you're having a good laugh. Maybe even both.

You're from Texas, aren't you?

Houston and yes i do get a kick out of standing firm in my belief that Big Lance is the ABSOLUTE BEST athlete in any genre he wants to place himself into of our lifetime and then some. why do you feel the need to wanna try and make me see things different? it's not going to happen, try as you might.

Me feeling exactly - the man is indeed a phenomenal athlete! Nothing wrong with being a fan - even a seriously passionate fan but when your passion bypasses your logic loop (Lance can beat the course record by 30 minutes whilst recovering on the bike so he can ran well) then you credibility exits stage left.
